| Pennsylvania Coed-Rec Eastern State Championships |  | | | On July 10th-11th, the 2010 Pennsylvania Class C & D Coed-Rec Eastern State Championships will be held at Westtown Fields. Co-ed Rec is a new coed format devised by District 6 and the ASA of PA that will mirror the roster requirements of many area leagues. This tournament will be a 7 man, 3 woman tournament. Two extra hitters will be allowed but they must be one male and one female. This will be a double elimination tournament and will be classified into two divisions (C/D). Spots are still open so sign up now! Registration for the tournament ends on Wednesday, July 7th.
Rules of the Tournament
- Teams must be from ASA registered Coed Leagues and Approved by your District Commissioner
- No more than three (3) male batters may bat in a row (including the bottom/top swing)
- Females must play one position in the infield, one position in the outfield and also must either be a catcher or pitcher. If the Extra Hitter (EH) is used, you must have two (male and female)
- There must be 3 women in the field at all times in the designated positions.
- When batting, Males will hit the standard 12” ASA softball and Females will hit the 11” ASA softball
- If a team plays shorthanded and uses three in the IF or OF, one must be a female
- All approved ASA bats allowed
To register your team or for questions, please email the tournament director at tourney@cccesl.com. The cost of the tournament is $275 per team and ASA rosters are required. Players must have played in at least two (2) league games to be eligible. Teams are allowed three (3) pickup players from ASA coed teams of the same classification or lower. League records and help from league commissioners will determine your team’s classification. |
