COVER STORY

THIS DAY IN LEAGUE HISTORY
7/26/2007

D.A.S. Landscaping moved into the championship series, sealing the deal with a hard-fought 7-4 victory over Allstate/Furman Agency. Being the consumate leader, Wayne Langdon woke up the DAS bats by slamming an inside-the-park homerun to begin a key DAS rally. Greg Niles was unflappable in the outfield, recording 9 putouts and covering a lot of ground. Paula Remzas picked up the win on the mound, looking very impressive and capping off the win with a strikeout in the 7th. Also a key part of the DAS success was Kim Campbell, who recorded a mean scorebook on the sidelines. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the team and the game of softball has been crucial in the run to the championship for DAS. DAS beings their showdown with Breen Company in Game 2 on Monday. Breen and DAS have played two very tight games during the regular season so the championship series looks to be one for the ages.
